Klipsch Forte 4 $4500 Per Pair
(35.75h, 16.63w, 13”d, 72 lbs, 8 ohms, 99dB SPL)
Klipsch has just updated its already venerable Forte loudspeaker. The changes include:
- New black recessed base riser
- New Polyimide (Mylar) midrange driver
- New phase plug design for Titanium Tweeter creating wider dispersion
- New steep slope crossover for increased clarity and detail
- Black, walnut & cherry wood come with salt & pepper grills
- Distressed oak comes with off white lamb’s wool grill
The Forte 4 is a nice tweak up from its predecessor. The Mylar midrange driver and crossover bring your seat closer to the stage. You hear greater dynamics and less of the cabinet in this latest design. As always, if you want a highly efficient speaker that will raise the roof when you ask it to, look no further than Forte 4.
It can be driven with ANY amp. Hence while $4500 isn’t chump change, you don’t HAVE to upgrade whatever amp you have. With speakers providing the biggest bang for your buck, you can run Forte 4 with a modestly priced NAD integrated for example and garner tremendous results for your investment.
